T-Hub, the Telangana govt-led startup incubator, has partnered with Indian Army’s Central Command to give defence startups direct access to field-level military challenges and deployment opportunities.The collaboration will allow founders to work on active problem statements issued by Army, develop technologies for operational needs, and validate them with end users. A joint oversight committee will monitor programme execution and coordinate engagements between selected startups and Army stakeholders, T-Hub said on Tuesday.The agreement expands T-Hub’s existing work with Army’s Western Command, placing it among a limited group of organisations with direct relationships at the Command level. T-Hub is also one of 28 organisations implementing the defence ministry’s iDEX scheme and says it is the country’s largest iDEX incubator.T-Hub said it has engaged more than 100 defence startups, hosted over 70 iDEX challenges, and currently works with more than 70 defence startups. These companies have secured commercial defence orders worth over ₹250 crore, along with grants exceeding ₹4.2 crore and proof-of-concept projects worth ₹9 crore, it added.T-Hub CEO Kavikrut said the partnership would help startups build for real deployment conditions and reflected confidence in Indian defence innovation and Hyderabad’s technology ecosystem. The initiative aims to speed up indigenous solutions for India’s defence modernisation.
