Hyderabad: BJP national vice-president DK Aruna and the Telangana BJP’s chief spokesperson NV Subhash took a dig at chief minister Revanth Reddy over his remarks that he would remain Telangana CM until 2034 before entering national politics.DK Aruna said that instead of dreaming about Delhi, Revanth should first focus on people’s issues and the promises made during the 2023 assembly elections. She said it was ridiculous that the CM had predicted Rahul Gandhi would become Prime Minister in the near future. “The chief minister should not forget that the people of the country rejected the Congress party and Rahul Gandhi not once, but three times, and gave power to the NDA,” she said.Subhash said Telangana had already witnessed similar political overconfidence in the past from towering regional leaders such as NT Rama Rao and K Chandrasekhar Rao. “Both leaders once believed they were politically invincible. History, however, has a cruel habit of humbling arrogance. The people of Telangana have repeatedly shown that no leader is bigger than public sentiment,” he said.
