Bengaluru: Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) is gearing up to improve its performance in this year’s Swachh Survekshan-2025-26 by taking several steps. Last year, Bengaluru stood 36th out of 40 cities with a population over 1 million.On Monday, GBA and Bengaluru Solid Waste Management Limited (BSWML) inducted six brand ambassadors ahead of the assessment conducted annually by the Union ministry of housing and urban affairs.
Padma Shri awardee and transgender folk artist Manajamma Jogati, Kannada actor Aniruddha Jatkar, social worker and KPCC leader KM Nagaraj were among the brand ambassadors, along with NGO leaders Arun Pai, Abhilash Nair and Aniruddh Dutt.The ambassadors were felicitated at the Town Hall in the presence of GBA chief commissioner Maheshwar Rao, along with senior BSWML officials and commissioners of city corporations.
