Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari on Wednesday said a systemic change has started happening in Bengal after BJP came to power and more change will be brought, making the state free from cut-money, syndicate raj and anti-national activities.

“We want a change of system in the state with no cut-money, syndicate raj and no anti-national activities and principles of Swami Vivekananda. We are implementing BJP’s Sankalp Patra and we will complete all the promises made in the manifesto,” Adhikari said in North Bengal’s Siliguri, while addressing his first programme in North Bengal.

BJP aims to build a government for the people as promised in BJP’s Sankalp Patra, he noted.

In last two weeks, systemic changes have started happening. We have taken several decisions after coming to power and this government will be a government of people, nationalist government and will upheld Indian culture and heritage and make Symaprasad Mukherjee’s dream true,” Adhikari said.

In July, Adhikari will go to North Bengal and in a three-day programme, when he will be accompanied by CMO and departmental officers, who will be available with the CM. Adhikari has given responsibility to North Bengal Development Minister Nishith Pramanik to talk to people and seek their suggestions on the growth and development of North Bengal.

“From June 1, you will see feasible changes and the Sankalp Patra promises will turn to reality. Work is being done in close coordination with the BJP party,” Adhikari said as he visited the BJP party office in Siliguri.
Talking about contribution of his party workers, Adhikari said, “Innumerable BJP party workers have faced torture and harassment, had gone to jail for keeping saffron flags, tortured.”Adhikari also spoke about Hill community, Matua and Rajbanshi communities who have been insulted in the previous regime.

“I will come to North Bengal every month. Apart from developmental work, I will keep time for the party in North Bengal,” he said.

After attending the administrative review meeting at Siliguri, Adhikari will return is slated to come back to Kolkata and hold a meeting with the top officials of the Border Security Force (BSF) to review the process of land handover from the state government for the erection of barbed fencing at the unfenced borders with Bangladesh in the state.
