Accident took place in Buldhana district

Buldhana: One person was critically injured and nine others sustained minor injuries after an SUV overturned on Samruddhi Expressway in Buldhana district on Sunday after one of its tyres burst.The accident occurred at around 11.35am near Channel No. 325.3 on the Nagpur corridor of the expressway, in the Pangra-Malkapur area. Following information from the Central Road Operations (CRO) in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, a team led by police sub-inspector Anita Irshid reached the accident site at around 12.05pm.As per the driver, Hemant Vishwakarma (24), a resident of Rajnandgaon in Chhattisgarh, he and his friends were travelling from Nashik to Nagpur when the rear-left tyre of the vehicle burst. The driver lost control of the SUV, causing it to overturn.Aman Sahu (25) suffered serious injuries, while Tikesh Bande, Ravi Sahu, Yash Sahu, Devesh Sahu, Hemant Vishwakarma, Vasu Sahu, Vicky Sahu, Kishan Vishwakarma and Naveen Sahu sustained minor injuries. All the injured were shifted by ambulance to the govt hospital at Sindkhed Raja for treatment.The SUV was removed with the help of a crane and taken to the Dusrabid toll plaza by around 1.25pm. Police said there was no further disruption in traffic movement following the accident.Police personnel, including PSI Anita Irshid, constables Dhirendra Chandan, Sagar Kolhe, Shivaji Bargaje, Sagar Kute and Gajanan Jadhav, along with Maharashtra Security Force and Quick Response Vehicle personnel, managed the rescue and traffic operations.
