Karuppu, featuring Suriya and Trisha Krishnan, continued its impressive performance in theatres on its fifth day. The film collected an estimated Rs 12.75 crore net in India on Tuesday, according to trade tracker Sacnilk.This represents a 10.8 percent decline from Monday’s Rs 14.30 crore net.

India Net nears Rs 100 crore mark for ‘Karuppu’

With its Day 5 earnings, ‘Karuppu’s total India net collection has reached Rs 95.05 crore. The India gross collection now stands at Rs 110.04 crore.The film was screened in 6,093 shows across the country on Tuesday. Karuppu opened with Rs 15.50 crore net on Friday. It rose to Rs 24.15 crore on Saturday and reached a weekend high of Rs 28.35 crore on Sunday.Collections then settled at Rs 14.30 crore on Monday before earning Rs 12.75 crore on Tuesday.

Tamil Nadu leads, overseas adds 4 crore

The Tamil version contributed Rs 10.55 crore net on Day 5 from 4,362 shows, with an occupancy rate of 42 percent.The Telugu version added Rs 2.20 crore net from 1,731 shows and recorded 24 percent occupancy.Tamil occupancy improved throughout the day, increasing from 25.38 percent in the morning to 56.69 percent during night shows.The Telugu version also showed growth, reaching 27.09 percent occupancy in the final shows of the day.Overseas, the film earned Rs 4 crore gross on Tuesday. Its total international gross has now climbed to Rs 51 crore.

Worldwide gross reaches 161.04 crore

With strong domestic and overseas numbers, ‘Karuppu’s worldwide gross collection has touched Rs 161.04 crore in just five days.State-wise, Tamil Nadu led with Rs 10 crore gross on Tuesday.Andhra Pradesh and Telangana contributed Rs 2.25 crore, followed by Karnataka with Rs 1.20 crore and Kerala with Rs 1.05 crore.The rest of India added Rs 24 lakhs, taking the total Day 5 gross across states to Rs 14.74 crore.RJ Balaji’s mythological entertainer draws attentionDirected by RJ Balaji, ‘Karuppu’ blends mythology, courtroom drama, and commercial action.
