Ajmer: A foreign student from Sudan (Africa) studying at a private university in Ajmer died by electrocution late Monday night when he heated water in a bucket with an electric rod in his bathroom.After he screamed, other students rushed to his room, found him unconscious, and took him to the nearby Janana Hospital. They were asked to take him to JLN Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.According to police, Mohammed Ilmuntasir (22), a resident of Sudan, studied in the second year of the Bachelor of Pharmacy course and resided in room number 106 of hostel number 2 at a private university in Ajmer.After post-mortem, the body has been kept in the mortuary, police said. Parents of the deceased student and the embassy were informed, however the parents expressed inability in coming to India because of their economic problems.Police said the paperwork was moved, and if the parents of the student do not turn up or deny taking the body in Ajmer, then the funeral will be performed in Ajmer. Police said they are still waiting for the external ministry’s directions.
