Pune: Students of AISSMS Institute of Information Technology (AISSMS IOIT) received hands-on training in computer numerical control (CNC) technology during an internship programme conducted by the institute’s AICTE IDEA Lab.The programme covered CNC machine programming, operation and machining, along with advanced manufacturing processes. Students were also given practical demonstrations on the use and operation of CNC router machines and laser cutters.The training included exposure to CAD/CAM, CNC programming, digital manufacturing and other advanced manufacturing technologies. Students worked on actual machines as part of the programme, giving them practical experience in manufacturing processes and technical skills used in industry.The programme was conducted under the guidance of AISSMS IOIT principal Dr P B Mane and head of department Dr M Gajare. Dr Y P Patil, Dr M B Nigade and Devendra Itole coordinated the programme.The initiative was undertaken by the institute’s AICTE IDEA Lab to provide students with practical exposure to modern manufacturing technologies. The programme was organised under the guidance of secretary Malojiraje Chhatrapati.
