Kanpur: A stray horse allegedly attacked three people and seriously injured a 45-year-old woman in Chakeri, Kanpur, on Monday night.According to police, Afsana Begum, a resident of Double Story Colony in Sangiwan, was returning home when the horse allegedly chased her, causing her to fall on the road and suffer injuries at multiple places on her body.Hearing her cries for help, nearby residents rushed to the spot with sticks and drove the animal away.The horse also attacked two passers-by, identified as Babulal Kannaujia and Rehmat Ali, leaving them injured and bleeding.Local residents rushed all three injured persons to Kanshiram Hospital. After receiving initial treatment, Afsana was referred to Hallet Hospital as her condition was stated to be critical.Babulal and Rehmat were discharged after primary treatment.Residents demanded that the administration address the stray-animal menace and capture the stray horse.
