Nagpur: The state govt will take strict action against hoarding and black-marketing of LPG cylinders while ensuring uninterrupted supply of domestic cooking gas, revenue minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule said on Tuesday.“All district collectors across Maharashtra were given clear instructions by CM to act decisively against those hoarding stock. Strict action will be taken against any hoarding or black-marketing attempts,” Bawankule said. The minister emphasised that the govt’s immediate priority is to safeguard domestic LPG supply for households across the state.“In crisis-like situations, commercial supplies are bound to be affected so that domestic needs can be fully protected. We will ensure that any such impact remains short-term and is quickly resolved,” he said.Bawankule also criticised the opposition, accusing it of creating unnecessary concern among citizens at a sensitive time.“Congress should not do politics at this time. Instead of creating unnecessary confusion among the people, they should stand united with the govt to help resolve the situation in the interest of common citizens,” he said.Officials said the state govt is closely monitoring the LPG supply situation and coordinating with the central authorities to maintain stable distribution.
