Jodhpur: The All Rajasthan Advocate Federation will organise a two-day state-level advocates’ conference on March 14 and 15 at Jadan in Pali district, bringing together lawyers from across Rajasthan to deliberate on key issues concerning the legal fraternity.PM Joshi, president of the Bar Association Pali, said the conference will focus on challenges faced by lawyers, safeguarding their rights, and strengthening measures aimed at promoting the interests of advocates in the state. “Seminar will deliberate on several issues related to the welfare of lawyers, and resolutions are likely to be adopted after discussions,” Joshi said. Key issues expected to be discussed include electing a Bar Council member from every district, facilitating the elevation of district-level advocates as High Court judges and increasing the advocate welfare fund with greater transparency. The seminar will also discuss providing stipends to young advocates from the welfare fund. It will also deliberate on providing stipends to young advocates from the welfare fund to support their professional development. Participants will also deliberate on issues in the targeted case process, appointing practising advocates as social representatives in tribunals and Lok Adalats, and holding Bar Council meetings at district headquarters. Proposals such as opening Bar Council branches in every district and measures to strengthen accountability in judicial functioning are also likely to be discussed.
