Kolkata: Disbursal of the third monthly instalment of Rs 3,000 under Annapurna Yojana has been extended by a couple of days after missing its initial Thursday deadline.DBT (direct benefit transfer) began on Monday, covering 1.37 crore of 1.45 crore selected recipients by Friday afternoon. In all, 1.62 crore of the 1.8 crore applications received till July 10 have been verified so far.“Application verification is underway and the disbursal process is continuing. Disbursals will be completed and money will be credited to all 1.45 crore verified beneficiaries within the next couple of days,” a state govt official said.Meanwhile, the remaining 17 lakh applicants whose forms were withheld, as well as those excluded from the beneficiary list, can file claims and objections on the social security portal. More than 2.5 lakh claims have already been submitted since the portal opened on Thursday.
