Pune: The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education on Tuesday announced the Std X (SSC) and Std XII (HSC) supplementary examination results, with SSC section recording a pass percentage of 29.53, down from 36.48 in 2025 and 36.78 in 2024. The HSC pass rate stood at 38.72, lower than 43.65 last year, though higher than the 32.46 recorded in 2024.Board officials attributed the decline in pass percentages to strict monitoring measures aimed at ensuring a “copy-free” examination environment. Girls continued to outperform boys in both the examinations. In SSC, girls registered a pass percentage of 34.06 compared to 27.75 among boys. In HSC, 43.88 of girls cleared the exam against 36.11 of boys.A total of 51,313 students appeared for the SSC supplementary examination, of whom 15,157 passed. For HSC, a total of 39,518 candidates cleared the examination of 1,02,050 students who appeared.Among SSC divisions, Nashik recorded the highest pass percentage at 41.45%, while Konkan reported the lowest at 12.26%. For HSC, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar emerged as the top-performing division with a pass percentage of 52.90, whereas Konkan recorded the lowest at 20.9.In the HSC supplementary examination, the science stream recorded the highest pass percentage at 64.95, followed by commerce (22.40) and arts (21.40). The pass percentage for vocational courses stood at 18.34, while ITI courses recorded 30.49.The board also announced that 18,482 SSC students who failed in only one or two subjects would be eligible for admission to Std XI in the 2026-27 academic year under the ATKT (allowed to keep terms) scheme.Students seeking marks verification or photocopies of answer sheets can apply online between July 15 and July 24, 2026. Those opting for revaluation must first obtain a photocopy of their answer book and submit the revaluation application within five working days of receiving it.
