KANGAN, August 21: An 18-year-old youth from Srinagar is feared to have drowned in Nallah Sindh near the dumping park at Kijpara in Kangan area of Ganderbal district on Friday.
The missing youth has been identified as Danish Bilal, son of Bilal Ahmad Hajam, a resident of Hafiz Bagh near Kashmir University, Srinagar.
As per preliminary information, Danish had gone to Nallah Sindh to take a bath. He reportedly disappeared after entering the water, prompting alarm among people at the spot.
Following the incident, Kangan Police, along with local residents, rushed to the area and initiated a search operation to trace the youth.
Efforts to locate Danish are continuing, while further information about the incident is awaited.
