Patna: JD(U) leader Nishant Kumar on Wednesday urged party workers to carry the message of CM Nitish Kumar’s good governance and development work over the past two decades to every household in Bihar.Addressing the party’s district and block presidents from Saran, Siwan and Gopalganj at the JD(U) state headquarters here, Nishant said workers must ensure that people are fully informed about the changes brought in Bihar since 2005, when Nitish came to power. He said development in key sectors such as health, education and other public services should be communicated widely so that people understand the scale of progress made under the current leadership.The meeting focused on strengthening the party organisation and making it more active and effective at the grassroots level. Nishant held detailed discussions with senior office-bearers from the three districts and stressed that the real strength of any political organization comes from its workers. He asked all block presidents to stay active in their areas, maintain regular contact with the people and take the party’s policies and achievements to every section of society.Nishant also said he would follow the path shown by his father in running the organisation. He told party members that Nitish had always worked by keeping senior leaders and grassroots workers together, and that he too would continue in the same manner by taking everyone along.He said the affection, trust and support that party workers have shown towards Nitish over the years gives him confidence that the same goodwill will continue for him as well.During the meeting, district and block presidents briefed Nishant on the organisational situation in their respective areas and pledged to energise workers further, strengthen the district units and make the party more effective at the grassroots level.
