COIMBATORE: Two special teams were formed to trace the three people involved in the illegal hoarding of commercial LPG cylinders in the city.The suspects were identified as Divya Bharathi, 30, wife of gas agency owner D Pradeep, 40, and C Ganesh Moorthy, both from Karur district. Pradeep and Ganesh Moorthy allegedly supplied cylinders to Karthikeyan, who runs an LPG cylinder distribution service agency in the city.S Karthikeyan, 33, a resident of Lakshmi Mills, was arrested by the civil supplies CID police on Saturday night for illegal hoarding of LPG cylinders. It was reported that he was involved in selling the cylinders at higher prices in the black market.The incident came to light after officials from Indian Oil Corporation and Bharat Petroleum, along with the civil supplies CID police, conducted a surprise raid at Shanthi Energies near Lakshmi Mill Junction. During the search, police found 997 commercial cylinders that had been stored illegally in the godown. The cylinders were seized by the police.
