Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav

Kanpur: Samajwadi Party national president and former chief minister Akhilesh Yadav said the SP would further strengthen its alliance and contest the 2027 Uttar Pradesh assembly elections entirely on the basis of electoral equations. He said these equations would also be given special attention in ticket distribution.Addressing the media at Pahadpur village in Kanpur Dehat on Saturday evening, Akhilesh said that ever since youths and children started raising their voices in a democracy for their rights, the BJP had been rattled. He said that the youth of the state were today wandering from door to door in search of employment. “If an SP govt is formed, employment opportunities for the youth will be increased,” he said after paying tribute to late SP functionary Raghvendra Singh and offering condolences to the bereaved family members.Speaking about artificial intelligence, he said the SP had fulfilled every promise it made during its tenure, from distributing laptops to providing employment.Raising local issues, the former chief minister said that as soon as an SP govt is formed in 2027, the Rasoolabad bus stand would be modernised on the lines of Lucknow. Referring to the non-functional lift at Rasoolabad Community Health Centre, he said that instead of running schemes on paper, the government should improve the poor condition of hospitals.
