Traffic diverted till Monday morning: Admin

Srinagar, May 16: The administration in Sopore has announced a temporary diversion of traffic on the Sopore Bypass Road in view of repair work being carried out on the Sopore Bye-Pass Bridge.
According to a notice issued by the office of the Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Sopore, the traffic diversion came into effect from Saturday at 7:00 PM and will remain in force till Monday at 7:00 AM.
The order was issued following a request by OC 56 RCC Beacon for smooth execution of the bridge repair work and after discussions with the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Sopore.
As per the notification, all vehicular traffic moving between Sangrama and Sopore will be diverted through alternate routes during the repair period. It said that vehicles travelling from Sangrama towards Badam Bagh Sopore shall move via Degree College Sopore.
While vehicles travelling from Badam Bagh towards Sangrama shall take the Degree College route.
The administration has also directed the magistrates already deployed for the purpose to remain present at the spot and ensure smooth regulation of traffic without leaving their stations.
Authorities have appealed to commuters to cooperate with the administration and follow the notified diversion routes to avoid inconvenience during the repair work.
