Mumbai: Filming at BEST depots, bus stations and bus stops in the city will become costlier after the undertaking revised its shooting charges for the next five years, from April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2030.The move is aimed at generating additional revenue for the civic-run transport body. BEST has 26 depots and several bus stations and stops across Mumbai, which are frequently used for shooting films, TV serials and advertisements.Under the revised structure, the per-day filming charge at depots will rise from about Rs 3.9 lakh in 2025-26 to Rs 5.8 lakh by 2029-30. Charges for bus stations will increase from Rs 2.1 lakh to Rs 3.1 lakh, while fees for bus stops will go up from about Rs 99,861 to Rs 1.4 lakh. BEST also proposed a policy to regulate parking of production vehicles at depots.
