On Friday, Sonam took to Instagram to share some glimpses from the hospital after welcoming her baby boy. Among the photos, one particularly melted hearts, and it captured a candid moment of her cradling her newborn while resting on the hospital bed. In another image, Sonam was seen having a meal at the hospital.
In the picture, Sonam is seen resting on a hospital bed and is seen gently cradling her newborn baby against her chest, her eyes closed with a soft smile on her face. The newborn baby is wrapped snugly in a white cloth.
Through the post, she also extended heartfelt thanks to the medical team who safely brought her baby into the world. Sharing the images, Sonam wrote, “Grateful beyond words (white heart emoji).”

A very special thank you to my OBGYN, Dr Avaan Dadina, who has now guided me through both my pregnancies. Sonam continued, “To the entire team, thank you for being such thorough professionals and for going beyond that with your gentleness, empathy, and genuine care. It’s not always something one expects in a hospital, but it absolutely should be, and it made this experience so meaningful. It’s truly remarkable what Nita Aunty has created, a space where excellence and compassion exist so seamlessly together. Feeling deeply grateful, cared for, and blessed… Grateful for the incredible team who cared for us.”

Sonam Kapoor welcomes second baby
Sonam Kapoor and her husband, Anand Ahuja, welcomed their second child on March 29. On Sunday, Sonam and Anand took to Instagram to share the good news via a note. It read, “With immense gratitude and hearts full of love, we are delighted to announce the arrival of our baby boy on the 29th of March 2026. Our family has grown, and with his arrival, our hearts have expanded in the most beautiful way.”
“Vayu is overjoyed to welcome his little brother, and we feel deeply blessed by this precious new life who has filled our home with happiness and grace. Sonam and Anand are grateful to begin this beautiful new chapter as a family of four,” the note further added.
Sonam met Anand during the promotions of Prem Ratan Dhan Payo in 2015. In the past, Sonam had revealed that, though her friends wanted to set her up with one of Anand’s friends, she ended up talking to Anand more. In 2018, the couple tied the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony. In 2022, Sonam and Anand welcomed their first son, Vayu. The actor announced her second pregnancy in November 2025 in style by sharing pictures of herself flaunting her baby bump.
