Dharwad: Social activist Basavaraj Korawar of Dharwad said police has hinted him of a plan by some people to murder him and have asked him to be careful. Korawar said on Monday that Dharwad suburban police on July 14 summoned him to the police station and informed him that there is an intelligence input of a plan being hatched to murder him. Police sought information on whether Korwar suspected anybody. “I have participated in several agitations to provide justice to the victims, including the ZP member Yogeesh Gouda murder case and multi-crore KIADB scam. I have informed police about those involved in these cases and am expecting police to register a suo motu case and investigate,” he said.
