Sambalpur: A six-year-old girl died after a dilapidated mud wall collapsed on her while she was playing in Sambalpur district on Friday. The incident occurred in Jarabaga village under Mahulpali police station limits in Bamra block.Roli, daughter of Prabhakar Bag, was playing near the house of one Manjil Patel with his five-year-old son, Mayank.According to Kuchinda SDPO Pradeep Das, a wall suddenly collapsed where the children were playing. Mayank escaped unhurt but Roli was trapped under the debris. On hearing cries, family members and villagers reached the spot and pulled her out. She was taken to Kuchinda sub-divisional hospital in a critical condition, where doctors declared her brought dead. Mahulpali police initiated a probe to ascertain the circumstances leading to the collapse.
