Vadodara: The Crime Branch has booked the infamous ‘Chui’ gang under the Gujarat Control of Terrorism and Organised Crime (GujCTOC) Act and arrested six of its members. One gang member remains absconding.According to officials, the gang has been involved in a spree of serious crimes, including murder, attempted murder, issuing threats, and multiple violations under The Prohibition Act. “In total, more than 128 criminal cases are registered against the gang members,” said a crime branch official. “They have also previously been detained under the Prevention of Anti-Social Activities Act (PASA).”The arrested accused include Suraj Kahar, Krunal Kahar, Deepak Kahar, Parth Brahbhatt, Pradeep Thakkar, and Ravi Maachi. The police are still on the lookout for Arun Maachi, who is evading arrest.This is the fourth gang to be charged under the GCTOC Act in the city.
