Vadodara: Police on Thursday arrested six persons for the assault on doctors at SSG Hospital. The hospital saw a major ruckus on Wednesday, when relatives of a deceased woman came to collect her body at the mortuary.Ranjan Vyas (79) had died on Monday, after which her body was kept in the mortuary as her relatives were to arrive from the US for the cremation. When they saw the body in a decomposed state, the relatives and the deceased’s son got into arguments with the hospital staff and the doctors.A doctor, two resident doctors and a worker were allegedly assaulted by the family members of the deceased. Police filed an FIR against 10 persons under the Gujarat Medicare Service Persons and Medicare Service Institutions (Prevention of Violence and Damage or Loss to Property) Act and arrested six of them.
