Bengaluru: Students of an aided school on Magadi Road — Gurukula International School — protested against teachers being recruited for Special Intensive Revision as they were left without any teachers on campus. The school has 88 students and seven teachers, of which six are marked for SIR. The single teacher has combined all grades and is trying to mind them. “Our parents are working hard to pay our fees and send us here. But when we come to school, there are no teachers here. All teachers are being taken away in the name of SIR. How will we study? They have been gone for almost a month now. We request the govt to give us our teachers back,” said a student.“There are no teachers in school. If it is one day, it is okay. But this is going on for several days. How can we accept this?” said Divya, a parent.
