Berhampur: Shibashis Behera, a student of PM Shree Kendriya Vidyalaya, Berhampur, secured cent per cent marks in the CBSE Class X examination, the results of which were published on Wednesday. The school celebrated his achievements on Friday.Shibashis secured 500 out of 500 in the best of 5 subjects, said school principal Shivapriya Dash. He scored 100 marks in English, Sanskrit, science, social science and artificial intelligence (additional subject) and 94 out of 100 marks in mathematics. “I expected a good result but did not expect to secure 100%,” he said. He thanked his parents and teachers for their constant guidance.Son of Sandharani Behera, a school teacher and Binod Kumar Behera, a railway employee, Shibashis wants to become a doctor. “He is now preparing for NEET examination and is taking coaching in a private institute,” said his mother.The school principal said 179 out of 180 students in the school have passed the Class X exam. While four of them secured over 98%, 14 students got over 95% and 33 students secured 90 to 95% marks. “The school achieved best results following the dedication of the teachers, sincerity and hard work of its students and proper guidance of the parents,” said Dash.
