A Class 8 student drowned in a pond under Bargaon police limits of Sundargarh district on Friday. Rohit Parmanik (13), a resident of Muslim Para under Bargaon police station, went to Rajabandhu pond to take bath. The student of Bargaon Govt High School drowned while bathing. After getting information, Bargaon police and fire brigade reached there and rescued Parmanik. He was taken to Bargaon Community Health Centre where doctors declared him dead. Bargaon police have registered an unnatural death case.
