Hyderabad: Sigachi Industries Pvt Ltd on Wednesday announced that they disbursed 10 lakh each to families of 15 victims of the June 30 blast at their facility, which claimed 46 lives so far, with eight people still missing.In a statement issued here, the company stated that the remaining amount would be disbursed in a phased and structured manner, in consultation with the Sangareddy district authorities and families. They added that a detailed payment schedule was being finalised and would be shared in due course, following a thorough verification process.Of the 5.80 crore compensation extended so far, the company has paid 2.70 crore, including 10 lakh each to 15 families (1.5 crore) and 15 lakh each to the families of eight workers who remain untraced (1.2 crore).Additionally, compensation of 1 lakh each was provided to 25 injured employees, apart from medical expenses. At present, three persons were still undergoing treatment at various private hospitals.Sigachi also stated that it was awaiting an external safety review committee to strengthen safety protocols across all facilities. The company has also constituted an internal task force to oversee relief, compliance, and operational follow-ups.
