BATHINDA: Angry over no action on a complaint filed nearly six months ago against a music producer about financial issues, parents of slain rapper Shubhdeep Singh @ Sidhu Moosewala went on a sit-in protest outside Mansa Senior Superintendent of Police office on Wednesday. Both Sidhu Moosewala’ father Balkaur Singh and mother Charan Kaur holding the Moosewala Junior accused the police of sitting over his complaint even as they are already at pains on losing the only son to gangsters.Sidhu Moosewala was gunned down on May 29, 2022, a day after his security was downsized.Balkaur Singh while sitting on prtotest dharna said I had filed a complaint with the Mansa Police against music producer Bunty Bains, accusing him of unauthorized use of his son’s unreleased tracks and trying to profit from his legacy in the month of August 2025. Nothing has been done about his complaint and if the police feels the complaint is false it should return the complaint”. He had accused Bains of exploiting the accounts as these are not being settled.Balkaur Singh alleged that Bunty Bains released tracks featuring Moosewala’s vocals without proper consent or rights, violating the family’s trust. Despite losing their only son, some individuals are trying to exploit his son’s work, leading to financial strain.Bains in the past had denied the allegations while stating that he had no financial dealings with the Moosewala family as he only provided services to the Moosewala family.Bathinda Range DIG Harjit Singh, who was on a visit to Mansa, called the couple for talks.Balkaur Singh also accused the Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann saying he (CM) is claiming of starting Operation Prahaar against gangsters but in our case, appropriate action had not been taken against the gangsters as people close to CM are trying to weaken our case
