Mangaluru: Chief minister Siddaramaiah will don the role of a teacher Monday when he conducts a workshop on the nuances of the state budget for MLAs and MLCs, legislative assembly speaker UT Khader said Saturday.The workshop, organised at The Lalit Ashok from 4 pm, aims to help the legislators understand how to read and analyse the state budget, including revenue mobilisation, allocation of funds and their utilisation.Khader said legislators need a clear understanding of the budget to effectively raise questions and participate in discussions in the House.Siddaramaiah, who holds the record for presenting 17 state budgets, will be the resource person for the session. Senior officials and experts from various departments will also take part. Khader said the workshop is organised for the first time in the state and legislators have been asked to attend.
