Mysuru: Chief minister Siddaramaiah on Tuesday inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for multiple development projects in Periyapatna assembly constituency.The CM performed the foundation stone-laying ceremony for 93 projects worth Rs 373.7 crore in Periyapatna taluk. Among the major works launched, projects worth Rs 147.5 crore were taken up by KPTCL, while the public works department undertook 14 projects costing Rs 78.4 crore. CESC projects accounted for Rs 70 crore, along with five additional works worth Rs 23.7 crore. The minor irrigation and groundwater development department initiated five projects worth Rs 16.3 crore, while Nirmithi Kendra launched 29 works worth Rs 16 crore.Additionally, KIRDCL undertook 33 projects costing Rs 13.1 crore, the backward classes welfare department initiated a Rs 5 crore project, and the Hunsur forest division launched a project worth Rs 2.1 crore. The animal husbandry department also initiated three projects worth Rs 1.5 crore.The CM also inaugurated 14 projects worth Rs 46 crore. These include eight works under the Harangi subdivision costing Rs 38.4 crore, one project worth Rs 6 crore under the Scheduled Tribes welfare department, two projects worth Rs 90 lakh under the animal husbandry and veterinary services department, and three works worth Rs 66 lakh under the panchayat raj engineering division. District minister HC Mahadevappa and other officials were present on the occasion.
