Dharmapuri: A woman and her younger brother were found murdered with their throats slit, at their house in Thagadur Nagar under E Jetti Alli Panchayat, on Thursday.The deceased have been identified as Nanjammal, 50, and Mathesh, 45, both from Thagadur village. Neighbours found the duo dead and alerted the Dharmapuri town police.Dharmapuri DSP Sivaraman and his team visited the crime scene. They recovered the bodies and sent them to the Dharmapuri Government Medical College and Hospital for postmortem. Forensic teams also visited the spot as part of the probe.Meanwhile, preliminary investigation revealed that the duo was likely murdered over a long-standing property dispute with their relatives. Speaking to reporters, DSP Sivaraman said, “Five suspects, including two women, have been taken into custody for questioning. We will uncover the full motive and ensure justice for the victims.” He added that police are continuing to investigate multiple angles.A case has been registered and further investigation is on.
