Srinagar, Oct 13: To ensure the fair, transparent, and smooth conduct of the upcoming annual board examinations, the District Administration Shopian has imposed prohibitions under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023, around all examination centres across the district.
The order was issued on Tuesday by District Magistrate Shopian, Charandeep Singh , in view of the Annual Regular (October–November 2026 Session) examinations scheduled by the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) for Classes 10th, 11th, and 12th.
According to the official schedule, the JKBOSE Class 10th examinations are slated to begin on October 19, Class 12th on October 21, and Class 11th on October 29, 2026.
To prevent malpractices, public gatherings, or any external interference, strict movement restrictions will be enforced within a 200-meter perimeter of all designated examination centres across Shopian district, effective October 19, 2026. The restrictions will remain in force on all examination days from 09:00 AM to 03:00 PM as per the official date sheet.
To ensure hassle-free movement for candidates and authorized duty staff during the exam hours, Student Admit Cards issued by JKBOSE will function as official movement passes.
For Exam Staff: Formal deployment orders for Frisking Supervisors, invigilators, clerks, Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS), and sweepers will serve as movement passes.
District Magistrate Charandeep Singh has directed the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shopian, Additional District Magistrate, Executive Magistrates, and designated magisterial officers to ensure strict implementation of the order in letter and spirit.
