Prayagraj: Deputy CP (Yamuna Nagar) Vivek Chandra Yadav on Sunday suspended station house Officer (SHO) of Ghurpur police station on the charges of dereliction of duties with immediate effect.DCP said, “ Acting upon an application by the complainant, Kamlesh Vishwakarma , a resident of Village Sendhuwar, the SHO posted at Ghurpur Police Station— Dinesh Singh—was found to have engaged in improper, and one-sided conduct. By displaying undue favoritism toward one party, he brought three individuals to the police station and detained them illegally.”Clear orders had been issued on previous occasions, and periodically thereafter, strictly prohibiting SHO from bringing any individual to the police station without any reason.In this connection, a probe was conducted by the ACP (Bara), Ved Vyas Mishra and acting upon his report, the SHO of Ghurpur was placed under suspension. Senior cops also ordered a departmental inquiry against the errant SHO.
