In a moment of immense pride for Indian racing, owner-breeder Shapoor Mistry etched his name on the international stage as his filly Thundering On powered to a commanding victory in the prestigious Betfred Oaks at Epsom on Friday.

Trained by Joseph O’Brien, the three-year-old delivered a classy performance under the confident ride of Dylan Browne McMonagle.

Positioned perfectly during the early stages, Thundering On moved effortlessly alongside the leader Legacy Link approaching the final furlong. With her rival under pressure, McMonagle waited patiently before asking his filly for her effort. The response was decisive and she quickened in an impressive fashion to seal victory at odds of 5-1.
