Union home minister handing over an allotment letter to one of the investors in UP

Lucknow/Gautam Budh Nagar: Union home and cooperation minister Amit Shah on Friday handed letters of allotment to five companies to set up industrial units in the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) region, in a move aimed at accelerating conversion of investment proposals into on-ground projects.The allotment letters were presented during the inauguration of UPITS 2026 in Greater Noida. Officials said the five projects together are expected to bring in a capital investment of Rs 469 crore and generate direct employment for 4,625 people. A total land parcel of 71,190 square metres has been earmarked for the units across multiple manufacturing segments, they added.C & R Textiles Private Limited received an allotment for 16,000 square metres, committing Rs 104 crore in investment and projecting 2,000 jobs. The allotment letter was received by managing director Chhatrapati Ranjit Rai.Perfectpack Limited, a packaging firm, recorded the largest proposed investment among the five. It was allotted 16,200 square metres for a project estimated at Rs 125 crore, with an employment potential of 700. Chairperson and managing director Sanjay Rajgarhia accepted the letter.In exports and apparel, SABS Exports International Private Limited secured 16,180 square metres for an Rs 87-crore facility expected to employ 475 people. Director Chetan Sabharwal received the allotment.Sahu Exports Private Limited was allotted 10,810 square metres for an Rs 75-crore unit projected to create 1,150 jobs, with director Sanjeev Sahu receiving the letter.Simplast India Private Limited was granted 12,000 square metres for an Rs 78-crore project expected to generate 300 jobs. Director Gaurav Chugh accepted the allotment.During the programme, Shah interacted with company representatives and discussed scaling up manufacturing activity and expanding industrial footprints in Uttar Pradesh. Officials said presenting allotments at the trade event signals intent to minimise administrative delays and expedite project implementation.
