Nagpur: Contraptions associated with BDSM and fetish practices, including surgical blades, knives and sharp tools, were seized from the accused’s Thane house during a search operation by Hudkeshwar police on Thursday evening. The search operation at Hiranandani Estate was assisted by forensic experts and supervised by senior police officers. Also seized from the 19-year-old’s bedroom were books, documents and gadgets that catered to sexual perversions, said a top police source.Forensic experts meticulously sealed every exhibit at the spot and the operation was videographed in the presence of women police personnel. Sources said the accused’s parents have been separated for 15 years and his mother, a reputed doctor, lives with him and his sister. Police sources added family members were initially uncooperative and insisted on examining legal documents before allowing access to their house. Officers executed the search after producing a warrant and completing required formalities. The recovered material would be sent for further forensic examination.Investigators are now examining whether the seized books and digital devices contain planning notes, online communications or evidence of similar acts in the past. The surgical blades recovered in Thane house will be scientifically compared with those seized in the Nagpur rented flat to establish a chain of possession.Police are also verifying the accused’s movements in the days preceding the incident and checking closed-circuit television footage from key locations.
