Lucknow: With many parents of children with special needs worried about who will care for their children after them, a seminar on assisted living, residential care and long-term financial planning will be held in the city on Sept 12.Organised by Assisted Living Facility Organisations Consortium (ALFOC), the seminar will guide families on issues such as wills, trusts, legal guardianship, investment planning and the cost of lifelong care. Experts will also discuss factors to consider before choosing a residential facility, including safety, staff quality and management.Residential-care models, including those of India Autism Center and Navothanam, Jabalpur, will be showcased. The event aims to encourage parents to plan early for their children’s future, safety and financial security.
