Patna: A letter threatening to blow up the Araria civil court before Sept 10 triggered a high alert on Thursday, prompting police and a dog squad to conduct a comprehensive search of the court complex. No suspicious object or explosive material was found during the search operation.Following the threat, police teams led by sadar SDPO Sushil Kumar, along with a dog squad, launched an extensive search operation across the court premises. Courtrooms, judges’ chambers, offices, parking areas and other sensitive locations were thoroughly checked.Police said no suspicious object or explosive material was found during the search. Investigators also examined a mobile phone number mentioned in the letter. The number was found to be registered in Chennai, but the woman who answered the call denied any knowledge of the threat.SDPO Sushil Kumar said, “The premises were thoroughly searched, but no suspicious item was found. Additional security forces have been deployed, while the cyber cell is working to identify the sender.”Police have intensified security at the court complex and launched an investigation to trace the origin of the threat letter.
