Nagpur: A security guard was seriously injured while a youth suffered wounds in separate stabbing incidents reported in the city within 24 hours.In the first case, security guard Manoj Jha (28), a resident of Hingna Road, was on duty at a construction site in Mhada Colony, Ram Nagar, Wanadongri under MIDC police station on Thursday. Around 3.30pm, three unidentified youths aged 24-27 years arrived on a motorcycle, consumed liquor and created a ruckus.When Jha asked them to leave and threatened to call the police, the trio attacked him. One stabbed him repeatedly with a knife in the head, neck, back, stomach and chest while another assaulted him with an iron rod. The third accused abused him. Jha is undergoing treatment at Shalinitai Meghe Hospital.MIDC police registered a case under Sections 307, 504 and 34 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.In the second incident, Sahil Bhalerao (21) of Ambedkar Nagar under Wadi police station was standing with a friend near the road leading to Old Wadi Nagar Parishad on Wednesday evening. Accused Sushil Kamble alias Jhingya (22), who has a criminal record, allegedly hit Sahil on the back and waist with a sharp weapon after he refused to speak to him. Sahil was treated at Shalinitai Meghe Hospital. A case under Section 324 of BNS has been registered.
