NEW DELHI: In a city, almost anything can become a place to sit, stretch out or sleep.A beam can be a bench, a pile of tyres a cushion and a tree branch or iron rod a perch. Some people stop at these unlikely places by choice, while others simply make do with what is available. When sleep takes over, even a cold cement surface or a hollow pipe can become a bed.

Outdoors, the usual ideas of sitting, lying down or sleeping comfortably often do not apply.Instead, people make use of whatever is around them, showing their ability to adjust, cope and find comfort in unlikely places.
