Kolkata: The Enforcement Directorate on Saturday interrogated former Bengal education minister Partha Chatterjee at his Naktala residence and conducted searches there in connection with the school jobs-for-cash scam. Chatterjee was released on bail in Nov last year after he spent three years and three months in jail.According to ED sources, a team of officials reached Chatterjee’s residence on Saturday morning around 11 am. A large battery of central forces cordoned off the area as the central investigating officers started questioning him.Chatterjee was sent summons to appear before the ED on March 18 in connection to the case. The central agency has meanwhile conducted searches at his relative Prasanna Roy’s residence, too.The ED team, including a woman official, left Chatterjee’s Naktala residence around 4.30 pm. While ED officials did not want to comment on the interrogation, sources said that Chatterjee might be questioned again. Chatterjee did not make any comment on the issue.
