Kolkata: East Point School came alive with colour, creativity, and celebration as it hosted Eastopia 2025, a two-day extravaganza that showcased talent and teamwork. The programme started with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony led by chairperson Anil Singh, principal Arindam Kumar Bose, and academic advisor Keya Chakraborty, symbolising wisdom and new beginnings. Day One began with Inspiria Q 2.0, an inter-school quiz competition featuring nine participating schools, including East Point School. After the preliminary round, six qualified for a five-round final with buzzer, audio-visual and other interactive segments. East Point School emerged as the champion, followed by PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya, Kakinara and St Augustine Day School, Shyamnagar.The cultural programme opened with heart-warming performances by the kids, followed by captivating dance and song presentations by senior students. Certificate distribution for various competitions recognised students for their literary talents, while achievers of the Japanese Song Competition and quiz were specially honoured. The day concluded with a parent-student collaborative performance and an energetic rap presentation by the student band.Festivities continued on day two with a powerful women empowerment act, a vibrant Rajasthani folk dance, and melodious cultural songs. The presence of actor Sonamoni Saha as the chief guest, along with eminent principals from leading schools, added grace to the occasion.
