Dehradun: Satpal Singh Bisht has been appointed as the new vice-chancellor of Kumaun University, a press release said.
According to the release issued by Lok Bhavan, the Governor, Lieutenant General Gurmeet Singh (Retd), appointed Professor Bisht as the vice-chancellor of Kumaun University.
Bisht has been appointed for a term of three years from the date of assuming office or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
With over 30 years of experience in teaching and research, Bisht currently serves as the vice-chancellor of Soban Singh Jeena University in Almora. PTI
