Ahmedabad: Congress leader Shaktisinh Gohil on Wednesday demanded a joint investigation by the Enforcement Directorate (ED), Income Tax (I-T) department and CBI against Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation’s (GIDC) board of directors.Speaking to reporters at GPCC headquarters, Gohil said that Supreme Court recently upheld Gujarat High Court’s decision quashing the decision to exchange 20 plots worth crores of rupees in the Sarigam industrial estate in Valsad’s Umargam taluka with agricultural land.“The SC upheld Gujarat High Court’s observation that corruption worth crores of rupees had been committed. Why is there no investigation yet by the I-T department, CBI or ED in this matter?” Gohil questioned.
