Jaipur: The vigilance team of Jagadguru Ramanandacharya Rajasthan Sanskrit University Tuesday once again caught students cheating in the PGDCA exam during a surprise inspection at Vishwabharati College, Sikar. This is the second incident in five days when the university cancelled the exam due to mass cheating.“A total of 72 students were taking the exam across three rooms at the centre. During inspection, several students were found sitting in groups and copying from each other’s answer sheets. The team confiscated materials from approximately 20 students. Videos, audio recordings, and other evidence related to the incident have been submitted to the examination department,” said a university statement Tuesday.The university’s vigilance team that included Shastri Kosalendradas and Devendra Kumar conducted a surprise inspection of the centre during the first shift of the examination Tuesday.Officials said that the second shift was conducted under the university’s flying squad. “The university administration has initiated process for suspension and necessary legal action against the exam centre. Further action will be taken in accordance with the rules, based on the vigilance team’s report and the available evidence,” said a senior official from the university.Vice-chancellor Prof. Madanmohan Jha said, “The university’s priority is to safeguard students’ interests while simultaneously maintaining the examination system’s credibility. We are taking strict measures against private colleges where such incidents are being reported. .”On Friday, the university cancelled the PGDCA examination conducted at MD PG College, Lalsot, after a surprise inspection uncovered alleged mass cheating.
