Kanpur: Body of a sanitation worker was found hanging under suspicious circumstances from a noose inside a room of the boys’ hostel at Maharana Pratap Ayurvedic medical college in Ishwari Ganj, Bithoor, on Friday afternoon. The deceased, Hrithik (24), a resident of Mau Gura in Auraiya district, worked as a sanitation worker at Maharana Pratap Ayurvedic medical college in Ishwari Ganj.Supervisor Shantanu Singh said that when Hrithik did not return, they went to his room and found it locked from inside. The window of the adjacent room was broken to gain entry, where Ritik’s body was found lying on the bed with a broken rope tied around his neck, and the other half of the rope was found tied to the ceiling fan hook. Bithoor police station in-charge Ashok Kumar Saroj said that the family has been notified, and action will be taken based on the postmortem report.
