Mangaluru: Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management will inaugurate its Industry Integrated Work Space at its campus on Saturday, in a move aimed at deepening industry-academia collaboration and creating a future-ready innovation ecosystem for students.Addressing reporters on Thursday, college principal SS Injaganeri said the programme will feature the launch of Industry Integrated Workspaces developed in association with leading companies from emerging sectors including artificial intelligence, fintech, logistics, healthcare technology, data science and digital transformation.The inauguration will be led by Sharanprakash R Patil, minister of medical education and skill development. Founder and chairman of Allcargo Logistics Shashi Kiran Shetty will attend as guest of honour.As part of the initiative, the college will open dedicated industry offices and collaborative innovation hubs associated with Discover Dollar, Allcargo Logistics and MResult Technologies Private Limited. The institution will also acknowledge existing campus partners FlocCare, Datavex AI and Manthrika AI for their continued role in strengthening the innovation ecosystem on campus.He added that the Industry Integrated Work Space was conceived as a platform where students can directly engage with industry experts, work on live projects, take up internships and freelancing assignments, and gain practical exposure to real-world technologies and business challenges.The initiative aims to establish a 300-seater industry-integrated workspace and bring on board more than 20 industry partners. The objective is to provide students with domain-specific exposure and help them become industry-ready from the beginning of their academic journey.The participating companies represent a range of globally emerging domains. Discover Dollar focuses on AI-powered financial profit recovery solutions, Allcargo Logistics on global logistics and supply chain management, MResult Technologies on data analytics, GenAI and digital transformation services, FlocCare on GenAI-powered healthcare communication, Datavex AI on AI, cloud infrastructure and data science solutions, and Manthrika AI on AI-driven talent management and workforce intelligence.
