Dibrugarh: Police on Saturday apprehended the last of the fourth fugitive, who had escaped from the Sadiya district jail in Tinsukia on Feb 4, bringing an end to a high-profile case.Sasadhar Deorihad managed to evaded capture for three days, before the cops got the better of him. His other three accomplices were caught within hours after their jailbreak.Sadiya additional superintendent of police (headquarters) Arunima Bhuyan said, “We have apprehended Sasadhar Deori, the last of the four undertrial prisoners, who escaped had from the Sadiya district jail. All four fugitives have been sent to judicial custody.”The four inmates — Nabin Buragohain, Amlanjyoti Chetia, Sasadhar Deori and Huntu Sonowal — had scaled the jail’s fortified walls using a makeshift rope from tied clothing, before fleeing. While three of them were recaptured within five hours of the breakou, Deori managed to remain at large for an additional three days.
