BATHINDA: SAD functionary and ex minister Daljit Singh Cheema has criticised Aam Aadmi Party and Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring over the posts on X after the attack on SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal.Cheema said both AAP general secretary Baltej Pannu and Raja Warring have tried to create a narrative of equating the incident with the anger against Badals over incidents of sacrilege and killing of two protesters at Behbal Kalan on October 14, 2015, during SAD-BJP government in Punjab when Sukhbir Badal was deputy chief minister and home minister.Cheema angrily said what kind of situation they want to create in Punjab whether these parties the conditions like 1991 when 26 candidates of SAD were killed during campaigning ahead of the assembly elections, which were cancelled.Pannu and Warring apart from condemning the incident had written that the anger of people is still far from over against sacrilege and killing of protesters.Pannu, however, deleted his post later.SAD’ senior functionary Balwinder Singh Bhundar also highly condemned the incident.
